Description : The Sri Cheeding tea plantation was established in 1927 with an area of 210 acres and operated by BOH Plantations and is famous for lowland tea plantations. This is because tea is grown in plantations in the lowlands which have mild temperatures, unlike other tea plantations where it is grown in the highlands and requires lower temperatures. Interestingly, the tea in the plantation is grown under oil palm trees in an alternate manner, in which it was the first of its kind in the world.
